Maajid Nawaz lays out his life for the reader in this autobiography.
He explores his time with Hizb ut-Tahrir in the United Kingdom and then in Egypt.
Nawaz went on to co-found the now defunct Quilliam think tank in London.
Nawaz disavows his previous beliefs and work within Hizb ut-Tahrir attributing this to time spent in prison in Egypt where his case was taken up by an NGO.
Hizb ut-Tahrir is accused of holding to an extreme understanding of Islam.
However, it barely even touches the sides as far as this writer is concerned.
We need something significantly more fundamentalist than Hizb ut-Tahrir if we are to overcome the infidel.
Still, worth a read.
